Aim:Assisting the dean of the preparatory year and supportive studies in all matters related to the academic and administrative supervision of the preparatory year program and supportive studies at the university​

Objectives:

  • Supervising, following up and monitoring work of the schedules and examinations unit at the Deanship, and also regulations, procedures, and planning related to the registration of students, schedules, exams, and their results
  • Managing and monitoring the work of the Student Services Department at the Deanship, moreover, overseeing students' study affairs, academic guidance, and social counseling
  • Administrating the implementation of rules and regulations governing the regulation of study and registration for the university level and ensuring their units enforce them
  • Ensuring implementation of decisions made by the Deanship and the decisions issued against students from the concerned authorities at the university after referring to the Dean of the Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies

Tasks:

  • Preparing the Vice Deanship's activities plans and following up on their implementation after approval
  • Providing support to the Deanship of Admissions and Registrations to supervise administrative and technical units associated with the deanship and coordination among them to ensure the integration of their activities and make the most of the available possibilities
  • Supervising the implementation of regulations and operational rules governing academic work in the deanship
  • Supervising the preparation and implementation of the annual students' plans for the Deanship-related units
  • Supervising the progress of the final exams of students and the formation of their committees, in coordination with the scientific departments
  • Supervising the activities of handing over course books to students of the Deanship
  • Participation in proposing regulations, rules, and procedures governing the activities of the Preparatory Year and Supportive Studies at the university, and following up on their implementation after their approval
  • Proposing development projects and programs for all academic departments and organizational units associated with the Deanship
  • Providing support and assistance to the scientific departments to provide a favorable environment to support students and develop their abilities
  • Participating in the process of identifying, reviewing, and developing performance indicators for all activities related to the work of the deanship
  • Extending cooperation in determining the Vice Deanship of Human Resources, equipment, materials, and following up on their availability
  • Assisting in identifying the training needs of the deanship employees to nominate them for the appropriate training programs
  • Preparing periodic reports of activities and achievements of the Deanship and its performance development proposals
  • Do any other tasks assigned to them within the jurisdiction.
